The Shoalhaven on the New South Wales South Coast is still one of the most beautiful and unspoilt parts of Australia's coastline on the South Coast. Shoalhaven is a young, emerging wine region. Like most New South Wales wine regions, it has a history of early wine cultivation, which lapsed and is now being rejuvenated.

The Western side of Shoalhaven is blessed with mountain ranges within the Morton National Park and the Budawang National Park, including the Illawarra Range, The Ettrema Plateau, the Danjera Plateau, the Turpentine Range and the Budawang Range. Guided Eco tours are availbale of the National Parks.

Timber and its uses are ingrained in the history of the Shoalhaven. For many years, the thick forests yielded their red cedar for fine furniture and fittings.

Jervis Bay is infamous for both whale and dolphin cruises in the marine park, along with having the white sand beaches in Australia.
